Police previously had released a photo of the suspect, who was seen wearing a bomber jacket and riding a bicycle. He allegedly verbally accosted the woman before hitting her buttocks and riding off.
A youth who looks like the suspect seen in the photo was spotted by Officer James Cantrell near Westfield and Sherman avenues Friday morning. Cantrell and Detective Sgt. Richard Cocca investigated before arresting the teen.
He has been charged with criminal sexual contact and was released pending an appearance in Union County Superior Family Court.
